Our Farm

Weeb Farm Establishment

The farm was opened by the commissioner for Fisheries of the Government of Uganda Hon. Joyce Ikwaput Nyekoon the June 25, 2019.

Our commitments for sustainable aquaculture requires a systematic approach. We will measure progress through carbon footprint reduction and cumulative carbon savings, using data from throughout the supply chain to our customers to track the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per kilogram of our harvested fish since 2019

Targeting improvements in every step of the value chain

Through more recent public-private partnership initiatives, we have reorganized and helped women connect/join into viable groups and have formed a WEEB Women SACCO to enable our women access credit.

At WEEB, our production trends and the morale of the women , we are able to produce the quantity enough for the current market needs but a lot is still needed to tap the production for the whole East African community and beyond throughout the year.
